Olympic sights will stress the characteristics of Beijing

Beijing --The design of sights of Olympic cities will be completed by the first season of 2008 and the construction will start in the second season.
According to the fifth plenary meeting convened by the Headquarters of 2008 environmental construction, in 2008, Beijing will stress the implementation of the spicing up project. The design of the sights of Olympic cities which is “two districts, two axis, one line and seven different zones” will be completed by the first season of 2008 and the construction will start in the second season. The theme of the sights shall mainly stress the Olympic elements and the characteristics of Beijing. The figures and colors shall be internationally, and also have the charm of the ancient capital city.
In addition, by the time of June of 2008, Beijing will complete the mission of environmental improvement of alleys of around 400, in which demonstrate alleys account for 20% and standard alleys account for 80%.
